Make a Difference in the Life of a Child

For 39 years and 200,000 wishes, Give Kids The World Village has delivered on our promise of being the place where happiness inspires hope for children with critical illnesses by fulfilling their dream wishes. This mission was inspired by an act of kindness during the life of our founder, Holocaust survivor, Henri Landwirth.

At the end of World War II, Henri was starving, wounded, and had lost all hope in humanity. A Czechoslovakian couple discovered Henri and welcomed him into their home, feeding him and treating his wounds.

“They treated me like family,” Henri later recalled. “They showed me there was still good in the world and asked nothing from me in return.”
